WindLog is a compact and cost-effective wind speed data logger that can be used to test the feasibility of wind power at installation sites before installing wind turbines. Although many people use wind maps to help them make purchasing decisions, these wind maps do not provide wind data for specific locations. WindLog ™ You can conduct your own precise wind research to select the optimal installation location for the wind turbine and improve its efficiency. Install WindLog on the ground or building at the target location to collect real-time gust and wind direction data. In addition, it can also be used for wind power generation, environmental monitoring, docks, drilling platforms, etc., to record wind data in the installation area, and can upload the recorded data to a computer through RS232 serial port for processing and analysis using computer software.

You can download data from WindLog using the standard 4.5-meter USB cable and the free Windows based WindSoft software, which uses SQLite database to track and record wind data. The storage time interval can be set from 1 minute to 1 hour. The USB extender can extend the USB cable up to 30 meters. When the USB data cable is continuously connected to the WindLog anemometer, real-time wind speed and direction data can be displayed on the computer. Combining stored data and real-time data, WindLog can be used online or offline. WindSoft software can generate statistical information, graphics, and reports. It can also export CSV files, which can be opened using Excel or other applications that support CSV files.

The battery life of an anemometer depends on the usage environment and storage frequency. The typical battery life is 6-9 months. When the WindLo anemometer is connected to a computer, it will be powered by USB. This will greatly extend the lifespan of the battery.

WindLog ™ The Mini Averane wind sensor used is equipped with low friction ball bearings, resulting in a wind speed threshold as low as 1 mile per hour (0.44m/s). The wind direction sensor has a resolution of 16 azimuth angles. The stored wind direction is the average wind direction data.

	USB extender The wind speed and direction sensor of WindLog is directly connected to the WindLog wind speed and direction recorder using a general Ethernet cable. If you need to transmit real-time wind speed and direction data to the monitoring room, and the distance between the monitoring point and the monitoring room is not far, you can extend the Ethernet cable to 30 meters. WindLog is connected to the computer via a USB cable, and we provide a standard 3-meter USB cable that can be extended to 30 meters using a dedicated converter.
